UPDATE 1: Thunderstorms and showers possible in parts of the Western Cape (13 - 14 February 2014)

A weak cold front has moved in over parts of the Western Cape. Unstable upper air resulted in thunder and lightning accompanied by light rain in the early hours of this morning over the Outeniqua mountains, in the direction of George.  1mm of light rain were recorded in Heiderand, Mossel Bay.  Thunderstorms and showers are once again expected in parts of the Western Cape  today.
