SUID-KAAP NUUS - 'n Passasiersbus het vanoggend net na 02:00 sowat 13km voor Oudtshoorn op die haarnaalddraai omgeslaan.

Die bus was onderweg vanaf George na Oudtshoorn.

Volgens Suid-Kaap-polisiewoordvoerder, kaptein Malcolm Pojie, lyk dit asof die drywer beheer oor die bus op die draai verloor het.

Volgens berigte is 11 mense dood, maar die polisie wil nie in hierdie stadium die dodetal bekendmaak nie.

"Feitlik al die oorlewende passasiers is beseer en die drywer is na die hospitaal geneem vir skok," het Pojie wel gesê.

Die pad tussen Oudtshoorn en George (vanaf die Oudtshoorn-afrit) is gesluit vir verkeer.

Drive carefully on N2 during PetroSA Shutdown, Mossel Bay

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - With the Shutdown under way, management at PetroSA has made an appeal to employees and other road users to be very cautious while driving on the N2 near PetroSA Gas-to-Liquid refinery.

Traffic has build up, especially in the morning and afternoon due to Shutdown. The peak is created by employees driving to and back from work.

An appeal is also made to contracted taxis to drive with care at all times.

"It is very important that we manage this Shutdown without any road accidents and fatalities. I therefore urge all road users to be extra careful and to be considerate during this time and at all times, says Russel Mamabolo, Regional Manager Corporate Affairs at PetroSA.

"PetroSA would like this Shutdown to be safe and accident free and with your assistance and cooperation, it is possible. Remember to ARRIVE ALIVE at all times," said Mamabolo.
