Plane crashes at Lanseria Airport outside Johannesburg

Johannesburg - A light aircraft has crashed at Lanseria Airport in Johannesburg, according to reports on Monday morning.

ER24 paramedics said at least three people died when the plane apparently crash-landed.

Lanseria chief executive Gavin Sayce told Reuters that three people were killed when their King Air 90 plane crashed.

Initial reports stated there may have been at least 21 people on the plane, but Sayce confirmed there were only three on board, all of whom died.

According to Eyewitness News, the plane crashed and burst into flames while attempting to land in bad weather.
