At 00h30, Sunday, 26th January, NSRI Mossel Bay volunteers assisted a group of local men who got their vehicle stuck in mud at the Little Brak River.
The men feared that at high tide their vehicle, which was stuck hard in mud close to the waters edge, would be swamped by the incoming tide.
They had attempted to raise assistance in the early hours of the morning and eventually turned to NSRI for assistance.
The NSRI Mossel Bay duty crew used the sea rescue 4x4 vehicle to free their vehicle from the mud and the men required no further assistance.
