MOSSEL BAY REAL TIME WEATHER OBSERVATION: 07h50 - Currently 8/8 cloud. No wind. 21 Deg/C. Drizzle at times.
WEATHER FORECAST: WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy along the south coast at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot but partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east. The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to south - westerly. The expected UVB sunburn index:Extreme
DISASTER OBSERVATION: WESTERN CAPE
The Jonkershoek Reserve fire is still burning but according to Cape Towns Fire Chief it is currently under control. All necessary resources are in attendance to fight the fire.
Update: Four firefighters sustained minor to moderate injuries while attending to the fire at the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve late last night.
It is understood the firefighters sustained soft tissue injuries when they tried to escape the overwhelming fire.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and assessed the firefighters. They were treated and transported to a local hospital for further treatment. - ER24
