MSBWX National Severe Weather Observations: Flooding was observed last night in parts of Kwazulu Natal after heavy rain fell in areas. The worst hit area appears to have been Pietermaritzburg. No reports of serious damage was received up to now.
MSBWX General Weather Observations: Cool to warm conditions expected today over parts of SA. Thunderstorms and rain showers can be expected in parts of Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, Free State and Kwazulu Natal. Isolated to scattered showers and rain expected in parts of the Eastern Cape.
MSBWX National Disaster Observations: Veld fires are burning again in parts of SA. Please be careful around open fires, throwing away of cigarette butts and equipment that can start a fire. Be fire wise!
