SAWS SEVERE WEATHER ALERTS: 
 
WARNINGS: Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the extreme western interior of the Northern and Western Cape. 

WATCHES: Localised urban flooding is expected over Gauteng, the central and western parts of Mpumalanga, south-western parts of Limpopo and the extreme eastern parts of Northwest Province as well as the north-eastern parts of the Free State.  

SPECIAL WEATHER ADVISORIES: Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over the interior of the Northern and Western Cape.  

MSBWX National Severe Weather Observations: A "tornado" hit Actonville near Bergville, KZN last night (Tuesday, 27 January 2015) at around 9.30pm, tearing through houses, trees and fences.20 houses have been severely damaged. Residents say that the rain came down at about 8pm. It wasn’t much at first, but then it started to pour down and was accompanied by a tornado, with heavy wind and rain ripping through the area. Bricks and blocks were seen flying through the air, some even hitting people. Roofs of houses were ripped off, and even windows were blown away. One particular 2-room house was levelled to the ground.Residents took shelter as best they could and looked on in helpless horror as their belongings were destroyed. Everything was soaking wet, from clothes to blankets and beds.Clean-up operations have started and Bergville Protection Services are on scene, aiding where they can. Superintendent Freddie Halgreen is currently helping residents with food parcels and plastic for their homes.Many residents are left without food and electricity.Reports are that three people have been injured. MSBWX General Weather Observations:  Warm to very hot conditions expected today over parts of SA. Thunderstorms and rain showers can be expected in parts of  Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North West, Limpopo, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, Kwazulu Natal and Free State. 

MSBWX National Disaster Observations: Fires: Fire fighting teams again battled several fires in the Western Cape yesterday.  Please be careful around open fires, throwing away cigarette butts and equipment that can start a fire. Be firewise!
