General Weather Observations: The latest forecast predictions reflect the possibility of light rain over parts of the Limpopo, Low Veld, Kwazulu Natal, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, North West, Northern Cape and Free State. A 20% chance of thundershowers can be expected over parts of Gauteng, Free State, Limpopo, North West and Mpumalanga today.
With fairly high temperatures forecast for today in areas there is the possibility of veld-fires. Only 6 fires were recorded yesterday but this figure is surely to rapidly rise today. Take care and be Fire-wise.
National Disaster Observations: There is still a possibility of further earthquakes in South Africa in future. Aftershocks can still be expected in the Orkney and Klerksdorp areas. The intensity of aftershocks may vary.
