Gordon Richardson report that he observed a large plume of smoke on this afternoon's Aqua Modis image (Tues 19th) along the Cape coast. He indicates that he's not sure of the location and that it could be somewhere near Heidelberg. Thanks Gordon for the observation report.
MSBWX - Upon further investigation it was established that the fire was indeed burning in the Heidelberg area. The GPS co-ordinates on the Advanced Fire Information System confirmed the location .Smoke was clearly visible in the Mossel Bay area emanating from this fire.
