Cold and Snowy evening for the Western-, Southern-, Eastern Cape and Karoo - Be Prepared!

The Western-, Southern- , Eastern Cape and Karoo should prepare for a cold and snowy evening. Further snowfalls can be expected this evening and tomorrow morning. Snow Reports were received from: Tulbagh, Worcester, George, Oudtshoorn, Sutherland, Matroosberg Private Reserve, New Bethesda, Du Toitskloof Pass, Montagu, Viliersdorp, Storms River, Tsitsikamma, Joubertina  and Swellendam.  I expect more images and snow reports to surface tomorrow morning as conditions are conducive for further snowfalls. Thunder and lightning was also observed over the southern ocean earlier this evening. I will not be surprised to receive reports of thunder and lightning from the Eastern Cape this evening.
