Another cold front is expected to move in over the Western-, Northern- and Southern Cape later today spreading to the Eastern Cape by Friday morning. Rain (1- 15mm), gale force (40km/h) wind and rough seas (2 - 4 m) is forecast for the above period.
The SA Maritime Net reported heavy seas along the Eastern Cape coast yesterday that is expected to last until the 31 May 2014. The SAWS issued warnings for gale force wind along the the Western Cape coast and a fire warning for the Eastern Cape interior. A watch for heavy rain in parts of the Northern Cape and high seas along the Western and Eastern Cape coast line. An advisory for damaging wind was issued for the Eastern Cape interior.
