The pilot of a Cessna 182 aircraft landed on Louis Fourie Rd, Mossel Bay after experiencing technical problems at around 11h30 this morning. Here is an image of the aircraft standing on the west bound roadway. Courtesy : Jesse Ekkerd + Avcom.
Louis Fourie Road is a few 100 meters from my home and is one of the busiest roads in Mossel Bay. Thankfully at 11h30 there were no rush hour traffic. The pilot has done an absolutely marvelous job in putting the aircraft down. Lots of power poles and power lines to the south and north as the aircraft is standing now. Thankfully nobody was injured in the incident.
