Update: Cold Front moving in over the Western/Southern Cape (Period: 1 - 4 April 2014)
It is still raining over large parts of the Southern Cape this morning. Further rain is expected this morning in parts of the Southern Cape area. 22 mm rain was recorded at Heiderand, Mossel Bay for the period 2 - 3 April 2014 08h00 - 08h00 SAST. This system was fairly intense with a wide variety of weather phenomena. I am quite surprised that the SA Weather Service did not issue any warnings or advisories seeing that damage and flooding were reported in areas of the Western Cape.
