Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (Tata Madiba), South Africa's first democratically elected president and an icon of peace and reconciliation the world over, has died.

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” — Nelson Mandela

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, the father of the nation, died on December 5 2013 at the age of 95.

Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences are with the Mandela Family and friends at this time.

Let us stand together now and in the days ahead, and do what needs to be done to honour the legacy of Tata Madiba an icon of peace and reconciliation.
