NSRI National Warnings:   The NSRI issued a warning to the public about the effects of the new moon spring tide, as they expect stronger than normal rip currents.

NSRI spokesperson, Graig Lambinon, says the spring tide peaked on Wednesday and is expected to last until the end of the weekend. Lambinon says this causes a higher than normal high tide and a lower than normal low tide and hence stronger than normal rip currents. This warning is affecting the entire coastline of SA.
