It is believed the men, who were in their thirties, were on their way to Gauteng.
Emergency workers say both men sadly died on the scene. KZN Emergency Medical Services say medics were on scene for several hours last night. Spokesperson Robert Mckenzie says
They also put out a veld fire that broke out after the light aircraft crash.
The cause of the collision is not known at this stage.
