National Severe Weather Observations: The latest satellite image still reflect a large band of cloud situated over
parts of the central interior. ( North
West, Eastern Cape, Kwazulu Natal, Mpumalanga, Gauteng and NE Free State)
The weather system is expected to bring light rain over
parts of the interior and eastern coastal regions today. With enough moisture
and instability there is a 20% possibility of intense thunderstorms in
areas of North West, Gauteng and Mpumalanga. The SAWS has issued a weather watch for severe thunderstorms for parts of the North West, Gauteng and Mpumalanga.
National Disaster Observations: Aftershocks is expected to continue
for the next few days in the Orkney and Klerksdorp areas. The intensity of aftershocks may vary.
