National Severe Weather Observations: We have some interesting weather developing over parts of the interior as reflected by the rainfall prediction chart for today.
The latest satellite image reflect a large band of cloud situated over parts of the central interior. ( Western Cape, Northern Cape, North West, Eastern Cape and Free State)
The weather system is expected to bring moderate to heavy rain over parts of the interior today and tomorrow morning. With enough moisture and instability there is the possibility of intense thunderstorms in areas. The SAWS has issued a weather watch for severe thunderstorms and heavy rain for parts of the central interior.
National Disaster Observations: Aftershocks is expected to continue
for the next few days in the Orkney and Klerksdorp areas. The intensity of aftershocks may vary.
