Update: Tropical Cyclone 09S (Deliwe) Final Warning Issued at 18/0300Z
180300Z POSITION NEAR 25.9S 39.1E. TROPICAL CYCLONE (TC) 09S (DELIWE), LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 585 NM SOUTHWEST OF ANTANANARIVO, MADAGASCAR, HAS TRACKED WEST-SOUTHWESTWARD AT 12 KNOTS OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS. ANIMATED INFRARED SATELLITE AND WATER VAPOR IMAGERY DEPICTS TC 09S HAS WEAKENED SIGNIFICANTLY WITH CONVECTION SHEARED OFF TO THE SOUTHEAST DUE TO THE STRONG UPPER-LEVEL NORTHWESTERLY FLOW. A 171912Z ASCAT PASS INDICATES A 30 TO 35 KNOT WIND CIRCULATION, SUPPORTING THE CURRENT INTENSITY ASSESSMENT. TC 09S IS FORECAST TO DISSIPATE OVER WATER WITHIN THE NEXT 12 HOURS. THIS IS THE FINAL WARNING ON THIS SYSTEM BY THE JOINT TYPHOON WRNCEN PEARL HARBOR HI. THE SYSTEM WILL BE CLOSELY MONITORED FOR SIGNS OF REGENERATION. MAXIMUM SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT AT 180000Z IS 10 FEET.
